Just as Buffalo Bill has everything to do with the founding of Cody, so too, is the importance of the Cody campground to the KOA franchise system.

We are celebrating our 45th anniversary in 2009. The Cody KOA was the first franchised campground in the KOA system. Since 1964, Kampgrounds of America has grown to more than 400 franchise properties throughout North America and is headquartered in Billings, Montana. Within the Recreational Adventures Co. system of 10 KOA campgrounds located throughout the United States, the Cody KOA received RAC’s highest award for maintenance and improvement of facilities in 2003.

Today we are committed to providing superb camping facilities in the Cody, Wyoming and Yellowstone area. 

We’re ‘Thinking Green’!

If there’s one thing that we know about at the Cody KOA, it’s being green. After all, we’re surrounded by beautiful trees, lush grasses and some of the most beautiful panoramas Wyoming has to offer.

We’re dedicated to keeping our KOA as beautiful as it can be. That’s why we use sturdy, yet biodegradable paper and plastics in our food service areas, and offer conveniently located recycling bins for our guests’ use.  In 2009, we’ve even taken it one step further, installing efficiency lighting throughout our campground.

By doing our part to keep our environment clean, our Wyoming KOA will continue to be a beautiful adventure for you and your family for generations to come.
